A jigsaw puzzle of Air: The Visitation, from the Element Series by surrealist painter Michael Lawrence, in a keepsake tin.
Air: The Visitation is part of Michael Lawrence's Element Series, a painting brimming with symbolism. At its heart is a portrait of Empress Michiko of Japan, painted with an ethereal, angelic presence, a bridge between the material and spiritual realms. Two close friends of the artist flank her, transformed into celestial beings. A moose skull, a symbol of power and endurance, presides over both the natural and the supernatural. Behind them, stones erupt with lightning, and an egg, a recurring symbol of rebirth and creation, shows how the elements depend on one another for renewal.
The puzzle:
- Pre-die-cut chipboard with non-edge pieces
- White metal tin box with the finished image on the lid
- Six sizes: 30 pcs (10″ × 8″), 110 pcs (10″ × 8″), 252 pcs (14″ × 11″), 500 pcs (21″ × 15.5″), 1000 pcs (30″ × 20″), 2000 pcs (40″ × 28″)
- Glossy finish enhances colors and makes pieces easier to clean
- Ideal for gifting or framing once complete
A challenge for quiet evenings, and a gift for anyone who loves a painting with a lot going on.
